Summer Interns!

Kelsey and seamstress apprentice Georgina

Maddy

Dorcas

This summer, we have been blessed to have two interns working with us in the U.S. office. Kelsey Powell will be a senior this fall at Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. She is studying environmental science, and minoring in oral communications. She also sews, which has been a huge blessing as we continue to develop and market stitched items that Rising Village seamstress apprentices produce in Ghana. She traveled with our team in June to Ghana, and worked with the apprentices to develep new products to sell here in the U.S.

Maddy Tyner will be a freshman at Oklahoma State University this fall, and will be studying International Business. She has a heart for missions, and has traveled to Guatemala twice. She has been helping us with the presentations at Camp Tulakogee, modeling our products, helping us develop new products, and spreading the word to friends and family about our work in Ghana.

Dorcas has just begun an internship in our office in Ankaase, Ghana, where she is typing reports, running errands, and helping to keep the office organized. She has just completed junior high through the RV Student Sponsorship program, and is waiting on her final exam scores to see where she will be attending Senior High School in the fall.

Each of these ladies brings something unique and significant to our organization, and we are thankful for their heart for the Rising Village mission and the families we in our programs.
