Setup kits for newcomers
Help us welcome vulnerable newcomers to our city by purchasing or donating a welcome kit to get them started in their new home. These are the items that are in critical need right now.
* items marked with an asterick must be brand-new or very-good condition.
Bathroom Kit
Bathroom Kit
Includes bathroom essentials like bath and hand towels*, washcloths*, a shower curtain and rings, bath mat*, wastebasket, toilet brush and plunger*, hand soap*, and toilet paper*.
Cleaning Kit
Cleaning Kit
Includes household cleaning supplies such as a kitchen trash can, trash bags*, all-purpose cleaner*, glass cleaner, floor cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner*, dish soap*, laundry detergent*, sponges*, cleaning cloths*, a broom and dustpan*, mop and bucket*, and paper towels*.
Queen Bedroom Kit
Queen Bedroom Kit
Includes bedding essentials for a queen-size bed, such as sheets, pillows, pillowcases, a comforter or blanket, and other items needed to create a comfortable sleeping space.
Dining Kit
Dining Kit
Contains everything needed for family meals, including plates, bowls, glasses, cups, silverware, serving dishes, serving spoons, and a silverware organizer.
Kitchen Kit
Kitchen Kit
Provides basic kitchen tools including cookware, a baking dish and baking sheet, mixing bowls, food storage containers, wooden spoon*, spatula, ladle, chef's knife*, paring knife*, cutting board*, can opener, oven mitts, dish towels*, and a dish drying rack.
Twin Bedroom Kit
Twin Bedroom Kit
Includes bedding essentials for a twin-size bed, including sheets, pillows, pillowcases, a comforter or blanket, and other basic bedroom necessities.
There is a critical need for items to fill welcome kits
Refugee families arrive in Tulsa with next to nothing, ready to start their new lives.
Help them rebuild by putting together a Welcome Kit that will provide them with essentials to restart their life with hope and dignity.
There are 4 ways to help with donations:

Order directly from assembled wishlists from Amazon or Walmart for each Welcome Kit and have it shipped directly to the Rising Village Office (7225 S 85th E Ave # 400. Tulsa, OK 74133)

Buy your items and assemble yourself in a bin and drop off at the Rising Village Office (see below for instructions.)

Bring new or gently used items and furniture from our list to the Rising Village Office

Sponsor a kit, by giving a financial gift for the equivalent amount
Other items accepted
Singular items from the lists above are also accepted.
Items can be bought, collected, or from your home. They must be clean and in good condition.
For items marked with an asterisk (*), they must be brand new or in great condition for sanitation purposes.
We are also in need of:

New queen or twin mattresses

New or gently used furniture (metail bed frames, dining room tables and chairs, sofas, floor lamps, end tables, and dressers.
Please keep in mind, these donations are being given to real people. If it's not in a quality that would be safe or comfortable for you to use, it's best to leave it out. Thank you!
