Sewing machine earning allows participants to receive a $7.50 credit toward a $100 sewing machine for each class attended. 

 

Many of the women who attend class do not own a sewing machine, so credits give them the opportunity to purchase one at a low cost. Owning a sewing machine gives them the potential to earn income and further their skills.
