Refugee food assistance cutoff
Refugee Families Have Lost Access to SNAP
Recent federal policy changes have ended SNAP eligibility for refugees, removing a vital source of food assistance that many newly arrived families depended on. This loss extends beyond the government shutdown — it’s a lasting change that leaves families struggling to afford groceries while they work to rebuild their lives in the U.S.
At Rising Village, we’re seeing the impact firsthand. Families who were just beginning to find stability now face difficult choices about how to feed their children. We believe no family in our community should go hungry — and together, we can help bridge the gap.
Together, we can make sure every family has access to the food and dignity they deserve.
